Frank and Gregory Padilla were photographers with a studio on Washington street in San Francisco. For a time, Frank was an early motion picture photographer. Julius Padilla was a photographer based in Los Angeles, and notes accompanying collection indicate that his wife Agatha hand-colored many of his images. The relationship between the San Francisco and Los Angeles Padillas is unclear.
